The group favourites Germany are already through to the knockout stage, but don’t expect them to ease up their beer lineup is fantastic! DAB Original (in a can) will represent them in their last game before the knockout stages. Denmark need a point to guarantee them a spot in the knockout stage and with arguably their best beer stepping up they are in with a good shot. The Amager Christianshavn Pale Ale is a great beer and should give the Germans a run for their money.
Amager Pale Ale DENMARK American Pale Ale 5.5% |
Personally this is one of my favourite pale ales, it tastes just like an IPA. It’s got a reasonable malt body as well as a huge biting hop character. I’ve heard people complain about the carbonation being too high, but I’ve never found this a problem. It tastes fantastic and thats what matters to me!
Germany may already be through to the next round, but they have still put up a pretty decent lager. DAB is good to drink and has good bitterness, it’s a nice session beer which turns up in my fridge regularly. |
DAB Original GERMANY Dortmunder 5.0% |
Denmark were the better side in this game but couldn’t quite get over the line! The Amager Christianshavn totally outshone the DAB Original, but the points system saw the Germans hang on for a point that sees them top the group. The Danes are also through and will face the winners of Group A (Czech Republic) in the next round.
